Way back in Dehra Dun as a school going kid I had an occasion to attend a family gathering of community members. It was a nice sweet gathering with lots of kids of my age with whom I found mingling a delight. Elders gathered separately. A variety of tasty treats were on offer with no one to restrain. We were in the midst of fun, when elders called us. We found them immersed discussing prospects of compiling a Directory of local community members. They wanted us to help in collecting locality-wise addresses of members and to write them down neatly in a note book. We were told that the addresses thus gathered will be typed and then printed as a Directory.
